We like to eat. We love to eat good food. But we eat all foods.
Provisioning is almost my favorite part of planning an extended cruise, charter or even weekend getaway. I like planning meals: how many people, sides, proteins? How many fish will be catch, what sauce is most versatile, what can I use for an afternoon snack plate? How much rum are we going to swill!?
Provisioning also makes you study your dietary habits. As I toss packet after packet of fake potatoes, load up on canned vegetables, and fill the cart with all things packed with preservatives, it makes me realize that we eat healthier than we think we do.
I'll post an update on the accessibility of fresh fruits and vegetables as we go. And the proteins, of course. Here here little fishy fishy!
